School Background

Kabweri Seed Secondary School has grown from a humble community initiative into a leading government-aided institution, guided by strong values, community support, and strategic partnerships with the Government of Uganda.

Establishment of the School

Kabweri Seed Secondary School was founded in 2012 as a community secondary school, dedicated to providing accessible, quality education to learners in Kabweri Village, Kabweri Parish, Kabweri Sub-County, Kibuku District, and surrounding areas.

The school began with just Senior One (S1) and Senior Two (S2) classes, an initial enrollment of 103 students (9 girls and 94 boys), and was overseen by a 12-member Board of Governors (5 females, 7 males), chaired by Mr. Kolyanga John. The founding Headteacher was Mr. Masimo Micheal, supported by a dedicated team of 14 teachers (3 females, 11 males).

Government Takeover & Land Donation

In 2019, a milestone occurred when the family of Mr. Gonahasa Zindula B donated four (4) acres of land, providing essential space for future expansion.

Later that year, the school was officially taken over by the Government of Uganda under the UGIFT program as one of the recognized Seed Secondary Schools in Kibuku District. This partnership brought stability, funding, laboratory kits, computers, and other essential resources.

Growth in Enrollment

Thanks to improved infrastructure, dedicated staff, and rising academic standards, the school has seen remarkable enrollment growth:

  • 2012: 103 students (9 girls, 94 boys)
  • 2021: 155 students (83 girls, 72 boys)
  • 2022: 319 students (144 girls, 175 boys)
  • Current (2026): Over 650 students in both O-Level and A-Level classes

This growth reflects growing trust from parents, the community, and the wider region.

UNEB Status & Academic Expansion

In 2022, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) awarded the school examination centre number U4189, with a capacity for 100 Senior Four (S4) candidates.

The same year saw the introduction of A-Level classes, broadening opportunities for advanced education. Our students consistently perform well in national examinations, establishing Kabweri Seed as one of the top-performing schools in Kabweri Sub-County.

Infrastructure Development & Modern Upgrades

Starting in 2020, major construction on the donated land included permanent classroom blocks, teachers’ quarters, science laboratories, a large computer lab, library, and kitchen facilities.

In 2025, the school underwent digital transformation with campus-wide high-speed Wi-Fi, CCTV cameras for enhanced security, and a new on-campus borehole for reliable clean water. Modern boarding hostels were also constructed for students from distant areas.

Present Status

As of 2026, Kabweri Seed Secondary School is a thriving government-aided institution offering quality O-Level and A-Level education to over 650 students.

With qualified staff, modern facilities, focus on discipline and practical skills, and unwavering commitment to moral and academic excellence, the school continues to shape responsible citizens for the future.
